Cairns artist Bobby Maguire blends dark passion, thick bass and soaring vocals in his latest release ‘Taken My Place’. This enigmatic indie rock track delves into deep minimalist verses before bursting into chorus’ of ethereal synth and shining harmonies.

A dynamic song inspired by artists like The Cure and U2 ‘Taken My Place’ is a constant push and pull between day and night. The lyrics speak of obsession, rage and love as the music ranges from tense, subdued verses to rich chorus’.

‘Taken My Place’ was created entirely in Cairns produced by Kris Hutchinson at The Studio Hutch featuring local artists Naoki Kimpara (Drums) and Katie Richards (Backing Vocals) with the music video made by Bobby Maguire.
